Our friends over at the Global Color Authority just announced their 2017 Color of the Year. They state that choosing the Color of the Year is, "A symbolic color selection; a color snapshot of what we see taking place in our global culture that serves as an expression of mood and attitude."
The color for 2017 is Greenery - Pantone 15-0343. Pantone chose this color because it is symbolic of new beginnings - it's nature's neutral. While it may constantly be in our periphery due to our submerged lives in modern culture, Pantone is bringing it to the forefront and encouraging consumers to notice its omnipresence around the world.
As a digital printer, we match to Pantone colors. Larry, our Idealliance G7 Master and Prepress Lead, works to ensure that our colors are as true to Pantone as they can be - Brett calls Larry the "Best Color Guy in Kansas City."
Everyone from our Happiness Heroes to our shipping department consumes the colorful sights of our Color Castle every single day. When asked, you bet they had an opinion about what the 2017 Color of the Year should be.
If left to choose, here's what our Color Crew would pick for Pantone's 2017 Color of the Year:
